Getting feet wet with mobile photography

Messing about with photography is something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time. Recently, perhaps aided by COVID-19 in some strange way, I’ve taken to snapping photos on my quarantine walks.

The photos below are similar thematically and show my soft spot for the colors of dawn. Working with low light is also something I’ve found to be a lot of fun.

On account of using a OnePlus 6, mobile photography is the bounds I’m working with. I’ve found, however, that it’s a surprisingly capable device.

I’d be lying if I said getting into the hobby hasn’t had me eyeing up the prospects of buying the upcoming Pixel 5 or iPhone 12, but it does the job while learning.

The capabilities of most modern pocket computers is staggering, and I can’t help but think to my first primitive Kodak digital camera in the 2000s.

I’m still very much learning the fundamentals of framing and general technique, but it’s incredibly fulfilling all the same. Most of the content on Click Press Play is that surrounding video games, media, and tech, but I’ve recently decided to broaden my writing. Periodically posting my favorite shots is sure to be a side effect of that.
